Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2, 2026
This is the privacy policy for andreihasna.com, the personal website of Andrei Hasna. It explains what personal data this site handles, why, and what your rights are. The short version: the site collects nothing about you unless you actively send it something.
Who is responsible
Andrei Hasna is the data controller for this site. For anything related to your data, write to hello@andreihasna.com.
Newsletter
- What is collected: your email address.
- Subscribing uses double opt-in: you receive a confirmation email and are only subscribed after you click the link in it.
- Every newsletter email contains an unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe by writing to hello@andreihasna.com.
- Legal basis: your consent. Your address is kept until you unsubscribe or ask for it to be deleted.
Contact form
- What is collected: your name, your email address and your message.
- The message is stored in the site database and forwarded to the site mailbox so it can be answered.
- Legal basis: legitimate interest in answering the messages people choose to send. Messages are kept only as long as needed to handle them and are deleted on request.
Book orders
The book store is not open yet, so no order data is collected today. When it opens, payments will be handled by Stripe on Stripe's own pages. This site will then store the order basics — your email address, the book, the amount and a Stripe reference — to fulfil the purchase, and will keep those records for as long as bookkeeping rules require. Card numbers never reach this site.
Who processes data on my behalf
- Amazon Web Services (AWS): hosts the site and delivers its email (Amazon SES).
- Stripe: will process payments once the book store opens. Not active today.
There are no advertising networks and no analytics services on this site, and your data is never sold or shared for marketing.
Technical logs
The hosting infrastructure keeps standard technical logs (such as request logs, which can include IP addresses) to operate and secure the site. They are not used to profile anyone and are kept only briefly.
The site also loads a few style and script libraries from public CDNs (cdnjs.cloudflare.com and cdn.jsdelivr.net). When your browser fetches those files, the CDN receives the technical request data needed to serve them, such as your IP address. Those requests set no cookies — see the Cookie Policy.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and a portable copy, and you can object to processing or withdraw consent at any time. Send any of these requests to hello@andreihasna.com. Erasure requests cover the newsletter list, stored contact messages and any order records not required by law. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
